35" Tire Upgrade Option??

If it were a factory option, would you upgrade to the 35" tire?

I hope that Speed offers the option to upgrade the 32" to the 35" for a nominal fee. Would many of you upgrade too if that option was offered from the factory? I know it's probably a pipe dream, but one can hope, yes?

This has been asked several times and the answer has always been it may be offered at a later date as an upgrade but not for any of the cars currently on order.

They can’t sell the 35 as a factory option due to Carb/EPA. All testing and certification was done with a 32 inch tire. They could not legally sell the car with a 35 inch tire, and be emission compliant. That’s why it’s an aftermarket accessory.

Maybe later they go back and get the 35 inch certified, but I’d bet it would not be standard and only for a specific trim model. Like a Rock or Baja edition.

Way to dash my hopes Nikal, lol. That would explain why Robby said that he wished he had known the market was going to move towards the 35" tires.

I told him on day 1 when he said they were making their own tire. I told him make it a 33 as Score made a 33 UTV legal, and BITD was going to do the same thing, which they did. Plus that tire could then be used and wanted in some limited buggy classes that all run 33’s. 32 was always a stupid size the UTV Ind created. The rest of the sport & industry was using 33’s since the 70’s. Then they went to 35, 37, then trucks went to 39 and now 40 is the max allowed.

Anyone considering non Speed 35s? If so which tires?

I'm going to upgrade but not sure I'll stick with Speed tires.

But it could be a 'Dealer' option...

Got 35's waiting on the El Jefe to go with em.

Yes, just not a standard Manufacturer part.

Sure you can get them from the dealer, you can even get them when you buy your car. But Speed will not mount and sell as a standard tire on the car when you take delivery from Speed. If you buy from a dealer and the dealer does a take off or wheel swap, that’s the dealer selling them as an accessory. But the manufacturer can’t do it due to emissions.

If Speed Havasu has a tire machine they might be able to sell you the 35’s as a accessory or from the parts dept, then as a service dismount your 32’s and mount your 35’s for you, so you leave with 35’s on the car.

I'm currently running the BFG KM3 M/T on my current ride. For the terrain I ride in, I really like that tire and it has held up very well. We ride from our house and sometimes we have to run pavement for several miles which this tire holds up well to.

I am going to run System 3 RT 320's. They have a great tread pattern, are 8 ply and only weigh 43 lbs. They are also half the price of the Speed 35".

I know someone in the UTV aftermarket who gets hooked up all the time with product. When he was building out his own family XP Pro a couple years ago. He was given a set of System 3 tires. I think they were the 320? As they were more rounded edged vs the original System 3 AT tire which was a more flat tire patch with a square edge. Anyways he put them on as they were given to him. His previous Turbo S had the BFG, and that’s what he liked. But later I asked him how did he like the System tire? He said he was actually impressed with them. The only thing he said was he felt they were wearing quicker then the BFG, but as we both agreed the new XP Pro was bigger, heavier had a few more HP (168 to181) then the Turbo S, and he also had a Cognito 72 inch kit on the new XP Pro. So really comparing it to the Turbo S & BFG tire wear was not really equal as the two cars were totally different. But typically a lighter tire will wear quicker, so my guess is that’s just going to be the nature of the 320 tire.

I have always been a BFG fan and run them on my 10 car and my personal trucks for years. I think the RT 320 is a better fit for UTV's and the BFG is a street truck tire. If I was willing to spend the money and didn't spend so much time on asphalt in Havasu I would put BFG KR2 or Tensor DS's race tires on my El Jefe.

My best friend is planning on running the new Nitto's or Yoko's. We shall see how it works out hopefully in June or July.

Been out at Johnson Valley and Lucerne Valley for the last few days. One of guys been running these for about 1800 miles he seem to be very happy with them. I measured them. They are about halfway worn down. They were 32 1/2 inches tall so probably right at 33 when they’re brand new.

I think I might keep an eye on these pick up one for my spare on my Diablo. I already ordered the spare wheel.

That’s the System 3 tire both @Racer56 & I were talking about a few posts back. @Racer56 was talking about running the 35 inch.

I like BFGs but I’m wondering if these will be too wide since the Speed 35” is 9” vs 11”

I’m liking what I read about the Toyos
