Customer Deliveries

Nick may not be the most experienced guy on here but he is more experienced than a lot of the guys that bought one. The cars need to be operator friendly if he wants to sell more to turn this into a thriving business so he can /will be able to develop Spare part and keep the company alive to make sure we have support for years on our cars
Nick is plenty experienced. He’s owned a Polaris, Can Am & now a Speed. He worked for Polaris. He built and raced a RZR in the Pro Turbo class for a short time. He now has a UTV accessory company and has been to all the big UTV events. He’s done prerun/play trips in Baja several times.

I’d say he’s got plenty of experience.

FYI, The question of experience was about manual shift transfer cases.

All that you stated is correct. But Nick is not very well experienced with rock crawling.

I was referring to his rock crawling. Even he said he had trouble with the 4 wheel drive and if he had trouble there will be a lot of others that have less experience

decided to trade the Jefe for a truck and I’ll just wait for the Diablo spot I bought. Hopefully have the Diablo by summer.

I haven’t been in or around that truck in 6-7 years, I’m sure it has been, but hopefully it’s been updated and cleaned up a lot since then.

Was told it’s had an overhaul by kibbetech in 2017 and another one 18 months ago. Most recently all new wiring, new transmission, new fuel system, lines, injectors, power steering, other engine work, shock rebuild

River Dave from RDP picked up his new car here are his initial thoughts.

Let him know that RG has stated you cant run the windshield if its over 75-80 out. If that's the case it needs to come off.

I liked his review. (y) Thanks @CampfiresNbrews for posting it!

I agree with his comment that window nets significantly reduce air flow into the cabin. I've experienced that in my buddy's RZR Turbo S. I'm not a fan of window nets and I will not have them on my El Jefe. If I was a racer, I would feel differently of course. But I just play ride in the desert, and I'm not a duner. I don't like the closed-in feeling of window nets. I like a more open feeling when off-roading. If I get concerned with the potential for a rollover, I would go with the wrist restraint option. (Just my personal preference there.) I suspect having the Speed window nets on the car contributes to higher engine temps due to reduced cooling and rear location of the radiator. I don't expect to have that problem since I will never have window nets on my El Jefe. One positive thing I noticed with the window nets on my buddy's Turbo S is that due to the reduction of air coming in, it reduces dust entering the cabin.

The one item that concerns me that he mentioned in his vid is the issue with the seat belt sensor causing the car to go into limp mode while the seat belt is still connected. That needs fixing. EDIT: or just bypass it as others have stated. (y)

Being honest, I'll probably bypass that sensor. Not going to drive it without a seatbelt but I'd rather have 1 less thing to go wrong.

Just Bypass the seat belt sensor. If you run aftermarket belts you have to do this. Not sure how Speed’s is connected. But most are just a ground loop, and there should be a plug. Cut & connect the wires to complete the loop, or get another plug, make a pigtail loop and plug in to complete the circuit.
