Lets talk Paddles for Speed Cars

Master 391. So it’s who knows where at the moment lol. You pay for what you get, in my opinion.

This is very true. My friends go with the off-brands/knock off's and cheaper options. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. I don't like those odds. I like it when it just works, if I have to save up and pay more that's fine with me.

I’ve done the cheaper route before. Spend more trying to fix or replace that you spend more than the higher priced quality part lol

My friends justify it by saying they can buy 4 to my 1, so even if 3 break they are still paying less than me. But I rather not be stranded on the trail or have to constantly have to fix/replace things even if its cheaper. My spare time is priceless to me, especially if I am out playing.

I might have to go with the ugly KMC route, hopefully by the time I anticipate my car to arrive there will be more options. I did talk to the Douglass booth and they have nothing in the works.

I talked to Method. They had some wheels on a Speed. They had no clue about the hub size and specs. So they basically have a wrong fitting wheel on the car. Yes it bolts up but it’s for sure not sitting the proper way. No way I’m having a failure while doing 50+ out in the dunes/dirt. This thing is significantly larger in diameter than a regular RZR and the tapper clearly calls for that on a wheel for proper seat and fitment.IMG_5337.jpeg

I’ll have the wheels and tires before the car hahaha. At least I’ll be ready, right?
That's right. Haha. I have some 35's that have been waiting to go on since last year. But should be here in a few weeks according to TR

I have some packard ultralights I was planning on using. I will have to have someone machine them a little bit to make them fit perfect though. I wonder if they will make a small spacer to allow more wheel options. (not a fan of spacers but seems it would be pretty small to make the sit flush?

That's what I was looking at and thinking. Looks like a thin spacer that'll make the complete hub level would work but that would also be less of the wheels studs holding onto the rim.

I feel you on running spacers, but yes. That would definitely be an option. From the looks of the bolt length, Robbie didn’t leave much room for a spacer. Would require one with its own bolts built in.

Are you talking about these wheels? I fell in love with them at the show. IMG_9643.jpegIMG_9642.jpeg

Ya i have someone close by that can machine them so I will likely go that route. If there is enough stud a spacer would be nice and open up a lot of wheel choices.

I have looked into that. Was thinking a 1/4 in aluminum spacer Do you know how deep that lip is ?

You wouldn’t by chance live near Phoenix or Tucson? Cause I am looking for someone to do the same when I get them

I am not sure how big the lip is yet. I know they said it in a video but i would rather wait to eitiher get the car or get a trusted measurment. I live in Mesa. I am a diablo so probably have several months before i am going to chat with him about it again.

Took some pics and measurements for you guys. I went and grabbed a hostile hf11 wheel and tried it on the speed and it fits. It had I believe a 132mm center bore. That is the wheel im gonna run. There is a spacer on the car already.

Here you go!
