Life above 1000ccs

With new sxs coming out with engines above 1000cc do you have to register them differently? Are they considered a dune buggy? Do they need helmets?
Is the insurance higher then a regular sxs?
Are the laws different for them in each state?
If speed offers the big board kit, will need to be registered differently?

Depends on the state, in az, all that matters is the vehicle needs to be designed for primarily offroad use and be under 2500lbs. No mention of engine size
