I am making a list of must have accessories that I need to buy when I pick up my speed. Based off the issues we are seeing so far I made this list.
Let me know if you would take anything off the list and why, or anything you would add to the list and why.

upgraded speed belt (unknown cost, in development)
clutch cover fan (unknown cost, in development)
Eibach Race Edition Spring Kit $1,599.00
Willwood Big Brake Kit $4,499.00
Speed UTV Digital Display Bundle $1,499.00 (for belt temp)
Speed UTV Break In Kit $419.69
Speed UTV Spare Wheel and Tire Package $569.25
Spare Tire “T” Mount $138.59
Rear Skid Plate $458.85

Here’s my opinion, take it for it’s worth.

You said must have accessories.

Break in kit is a requirement to purchase, so you have no choice there. It comes with a spare belt, so unless you’re wanting a second spare belt. The kit will give you a spare.

I don’t think Eibachs are a must have on day one. Atleast until we know more on the life of the stock spring? If you like the comfort of not having to change them out later, and don’t have the ability. Then maybe this is a good choice. Nick is still on stock springs. After the two resets I believe his have been holding hight fine.

I personally don’t think a $4500 brake kit is necessary on day one. It’s also too expensive imo! The brakes are performing ok on the 32 inch tire. Could they be better? Yes, but it’s not going to keep you from using the car. Everyone’s freaking out because the Pro R was much better on an asphalt test. My Prerunner stops like crap on the asphalt, but locks up in the dirt. I also think we will find improvements that will be cheaper and might be as good or better than just putting big calipers and rotors on. We still don’t know if a master cylinder could be a fix, or the stock pad compound? A simple simi Metallic pad might be a game changer, for under $250? It’s just too early to know?

Digital display has some really cool features. I’m on the fence if it’s worth $1500? If you buying it for just a belt temp gauge, you might be disappointed. We still don’t know the accuracy of the sensor & placement. And if you’re driving by watching that little 1/2x1/2 inch temp number in the lower right if the screen, you’re going to hate driving the car. How are you supposed to drive at any speed and be watching that little number the whole time?? But again there are other nice features, I’m just not sure if it’s worth $1500 for me?

Spare Tire & Wheel, and hold down. While not a necessity to drive the car, I do think it’s a good investment and I won’t go without it.

Rear HD skid plate. Again it’s not going to keep you from not driving the car. But it’s a good idea to have something stronger than the stock one. I do know a few company's will be offering skids and the prices will be cheaper. I know Factory UTV said as soon as they can get a car for the day to make templates. They will build skids for the Speed car. It takes a day to make a template, and about a week to make a production Skidplate. So it’s a short time after they get a car to being able to offer skids to the public. A full skid plate for the Pro Turbo R from Factory UTV is about $1000 for reference. Racers and KOTH UTV racers have used their skids for years. They also add some extra protection like wrapping around the lower tubes on the chassis behind the front tires.

Extended warranty!!! Pick your level of comfort
2 years I would say is the bare minimum with this new car and all of the unknowns

That's a good choice. Depending on what time of year I get my car the 6 month warranty may only cover a few rides. Could take me longer than 6 months to even get the 500 break-in miles.

Issue I have with springs sagging is with by-pass shocks riding height makes a huge difference on how the shock handles. If you are 2 inches lower than expected you are in different stages of the shock stroke. You will most likely suffer small bump compliance and bottoming out sooner.

Your other points of going aftermarket. I think that would be great but are we expecting a large aftermarket support? The wildcat xx barely had any compared to other brands. I suspect speed will be the same way. Wither it be because of low volume of sales or threat of patent infringement. I could be wrong, but speed accessories might be the only option for a while.

Regarding springs & internal bypass. You’re 100% right about making sure you’re in the proper zone. But that’s why you can adjust the ride hight. Now if it continues to settle and you’re adjusting the ride hight more then twice, or seeing coil bind. Then yes you need to swap springs. But like said Nicks adjusted his twice as best as I know, and it’s been holding. But I do agree a Eibach is going to be a better spring long term. But if you’re trying to decide what’s needed immediate, and what’s not. I think you can wait if the budget is limited on what extras you can afford. Also you can source springs outside of Speed UTV. Just something to think about?

I do agree aftermarket is going to role out slower and not be like Polaris. But Polaris wants & expects the aftermarket to support their cars. They give the aftermarket companys cars months before they are released so they can tool up and be ready come release day.

I don’t see this being another XX. Totally different situation. Sure some will be shy because if the past history of the XX. Some will be cautious to see how many cars are built and the demand for parts, as it’s all about demand. Plus Speed is making some nice factory accessories. But there’s still room to improve on them, like the storage box. Like making a Aux fuel tank.

The XX deal was very different as RMG group (Romano/Gordon) had an agreement with Arctic Cat to be the official aftermarket accessory supplier for the XX. That’s why SpeedSXS was created. This is why Robby & Todd were adamant about protecting their patents & investments. There was still allot the aftermarket could have done to support the XX outside of the suspension. But the fact Robby scared allot off with legal, and then Arctic Cat delaying the product and deliberately not building very many cars. Selling in the wrong regions. Losing dealers and then the lawsuits. That probably did more to hurt the aftermarket support vs Robby. You’re not going to design, R&D & tool up an aftermarket part for a car that the manufacturer never made more than 8K in a single model year. Per Todd in 2021 or 22, they only planned to build 4500 XX’s. It was probably due to the lawsuits and trying to show the car was not in demand & profitable. They thought that could help them in the lawsuit, but it didn’t. It hurt them more.

Here’s a must have accessory I’d like to get as soon as it’s made for the Speed UTV. A parking brake. Not sure how many have seen the parking brake levers that you use to hold the brake pedal down? A few make them, but the original is called Spring Brake Thingy. It’s a super simple contraption. And with the sequential style shifter & linkage. I think this could be very valuable, as when a cars parked on a slope the weight rocks the car and loads the gear or parking pin in the gear box. It can be very hard to shift if it’s got pressure on it.

Having a parking brake will allow you to not put any load on the pin or gears if not parked on flat ground. It’s a simple bolt in part and they make them for every model out there. Spring Brake also adds a hole that you can use to padlock the lever to the brake pedal to help secure the vehicle from theft.

I’m sure as soon as they can get a mounting measurement down by the Speed brake pedal they will release one for the Speed.

Have one on my xx easy to install works great

that parking brake is a great idea.
the accessories i believe should be first
the break in kit
the white glove warranty
milwaukee air compressor
tire plug kit
fire extinguisher (for myself as well as others)
tow rope
come along strap.
cell phone
after i take it out a few times i will make the decision on what to prioritize
i want to try it out in stock form when it is at its lightest and really feel for myself the changes needed. i know my driving style i am not a racecar driver.
shortly later on i will probably consider a half windshield
then the aux tank and light bar

I have a lot in standby for my Diablo: two fire extinguishers (required in the Oregon woods), Shovel, Pulaski and Chainsaw for the woods, Center and side rear view mirrors (likely will change to Chupacabra) Two front and one rear lightbar. rear chase bar, Garmin Race, I have all the needed emergency and recovery gear on hand, I will be using my Jack Daddy (need to make adaptor) Spare tire and winch is with my original order.
Likely will be getting the cooler bag for the rectangular case. (At times I like to stop, relax and have something cold)
Also like the dome light of the OP!

That's pretty cool. I might have to fab something like that up. I plan to take mine rock crawling and you are always stopping on weird angles. This would work out good.

I like the lockable feature! With all these low life POS's out there stealing people's hard earned toys a security measure is great.

Maybe I missed it but has anyone seen any of the 30 something cars with the winch installed? I’m pretty sure @Chupacabra Offroad ordered one with his ride and the owner of car 14 Rick said he bought every accessory there is. But, I haven’t seen anyone with it, yet. Wonder what’s up? Me and @PropDr can’t be the only guys to have ordered it. Lol

I ordered one, but I am far down the line, hope for an update on progress

I am yet to see one on a production car. I ordered one for my El Diablo master #882.

Great Info, never heard of this parking brake, I was going to build my own ... you have saved me the trouble(y)

And ... I am also very curious about the winch? I am hoping someone with one, will do a review, ... a proper review ... really working it - at extreme angles through the fairlead, heavy loads - near max rating, etc. ... real life scenarios ...
