Agree 100. I just posted on the bandit/ el diablo delivery update thread that with all these issues seen on just one car and two or three out of the first 12 cars breaking down in under 200 miles is by no means a green light to ramp up production. I don't see a run rate of 125 cars/wk happening at all this year.We all know that Speed will be able to lean a lot and have some things to figure out and tweak from the first 100 or so cars, but this is what I was speculating. They are giving customers some timelines on their cars that I don’t feel is going to happen. I just don’t feel its right to give a false sense of hope. They said they would have the upgraded transmission in a week or two for the first 10 customers, now #23 just said it looks like 3-4 weeks could be more. Just come out and say ”we don’t know” or ”the delivery timelines are fluid at this time as we evaluate the first couple of batched cars”. As future owners and believers most of us would understand and respect that.
Just to confirm you don’t need the engine running to turn accessories on. You need to have the key/power in accessory mode, which also turns the dash on. The engine is not physically running, but the car has to be activated. You have it right! Definitely a great video he made.
I agree that independent control/operation or accessories is ideal and how it should be wired. Parking at the hill with only your led whips on is what everyone does and to only be able to do so with your engine running would suck.
I hope speed reaches out to him and takes up that app / dash offer minus the idea of dash mirroring to phone.
We are in February, and you don’t think they can solve these first run issues within a year?Agree 100. On paper they appear minor and maybe even easy fixes but logistically there are so many moving parts which can take a lot of time. These are only some of the issues they found with only 10 cars running for 2 days. What will be found in a much larger batch of cars running full time? The transmission fix went from a couple of weeks to a month or more. So many pieces to the puzzle. I believe Speed will get it right and find their groove but be prepared for adjusted delivery timelines. We all got excited with the all preorder fulfillment comment by Christmas 2022 but logistically not reality. Hoping for the beginning of dune season 2023, but could be the end of the year to beginning of 2024.We are in February, and you don’t think they can solve these first run issues within a year?
Really the issues are fairly minor in the grand scheme of things. The transmission issue is already in the works and probably the biggest issue. The wiring harness issues sounds to be at installation with zip ties to tight or not in the right spots Steering might be as simple a fluid change or as great as a servo assembly issue? We know the system worked in the preproduction cars. So what’s the change? That’s where you look.
Brakes on pavement vs dirt are two different things. If you’re easily locking up on the pavement then it might be too much in the dirt. It will be interesting to hear from more experienced UTV and off roaders if they’re opinions.
I think most if these issues can be resolved in weeks or a couple months, and I don’t see it being a year before they can built 125 a week. Unless they have to stop all production they will be ramping up pretty quick imo.
I agree 100%, most of the issues stated were because of minimal tech items. Don't get me wrong I love tech, but i am out in the desert, i could honestly care less. Is the motor and Gen2 trans reliable? Suspension and chassis tits? Do my PCI radio and headsets work? lol Go have fun!We are in February, and you don’t think they can solve these first run issues within a year?

The tech item & bugs will work themselves out with time I am not worried.
Do we know for a fact that if the dash doesn't turn on, the car wont run?I worry about the tech stuff the most. I don't want to be stranded in the desert because the dash went out and car won't start. How do you even trouble shoot that on the trail? He said that several times the dash would freeze and reboot. What happens when it doesn't reboot. If something mechanical breaks I can usually figure out something to get back home. If it's a tech issue I don't know how you could fix it.
I agree, I believe these type of bugs can and will be worked out while production is still producing.I agree 100%, most of the issues stated were because of minimal tech items. Agreed.I agree, I believe these type of bugs can and will be worked out while production is still producing.
He lost me when he started talking about ball joints and tie rod ends. You would think you have a super low number you would know what you are talking about.
LOL okay this was goodHe lost me when he started talking about ball joints and tie rod ends. You would think you have a super low number you would know what you are talking about.
I hope you're more right than me, as I don't want to be in my rzr next dune season. I guess we'll see in May. If 500 cars show up I'll be surprised. We are in February, and you don’t think they can solve these first run issues within a year?

Waiting to see what chupacabra has to say.He lost me when he started talking about ball joints and tie rod ends. You would think you have a super low number you would know what you are talking about.
Nick know’s the difference between a rod end and a ball joint so I will take his word. This guy has never even owned a SXS only rode in a friends car.Waiting to see what chupacabra has to say.
He was definitely more technical than mechanical but still enjoyed it, i am waiting for Chupas’s reviewpHe lost me when he started talking about ball joints and tie rod ends. You would think you have a super low number you would know what you are talking about.
