Well, according to Speed I own three cars, an El Jefe and two Diablos. Someone Speed has been adding other peoples orders to my account. Seems like they have issue with software/order management.

I saw this morning that Robbie had posted a picture or somebody on Instagram with a truck loaded with cars. Somebody responded that one of the cars was missing some aftermarket add-ons, and that truck was heading to the sand show or probably already had left.

Did anyone thats getting a car at SSSS get an email from Todd?

I got an email last night from Todd, with $2000 invoice, even though I'm paid in full. It listed a 2nd dash, 2 rectangle boxes, and a bunch of switches, like horn, interior light, seat heater etc......

I didn't order those things, and I'm really hoping they aren't adding that stuff to my car right now in Corona, and it's going to cause some delay with my pick up.

But.........What struck me, was being charged $17 for seat heater switches, even though I ordered seat heaters, shouldn't that have come with the package?

There's also other stuff, like roof light switch, front bumper light switch, horn switch etc......all of them at $17.

They’re charging for switches? That’s got to be a mistake. I’ll charge them $50 per hole they put in my dash that’s for a switch I did not order.

I just had Todd on the phone and he said if you purchased an accessory that requires a switch it comes with a switch at no extra charge. He did mention that they implemented a new quoting system and that might have something to do with quotes going out with charges for switches.

I just got off the phone with Mike over there, he's my new sales rep.

The digital dash, 2 rectangular boxes, horn, and all the switches were added to my car, no idea why.

When I get there to pick it up, what ever I don't want, they will pull off for me, including switches, which would then leave a vacant hole.
That is really shitty, I can't for the life of me figure out why they would add those things to my car without me ordering them, I'm thinking it's a sales tactic or something.
I told him, go ahead and take the boxes and 2nd dash off, I'm not buying them.
The switches, and horn I'm going to have them leave on, since they were fairly cheap, and they will now be there and all wired up, and match the rest of the car.

Having the switches prepopulated doesn't really bother me but I would rather not have the other stuff installed if I don't want it. I guess I can vent at SSSS this weekend.

Have you ever been to a car dealer before? It’s done all the time. Not saying it’s good practice but it’s done all the time with new car sales.

Good point, my new Raptor, to have the power tailgate, and step, I had to also pay for the sun roof, and the pro power generator, neither of which I wanted.

Not true at all. How many people CUSTOM ordered a vehicle from the factory and find it to have half dozen “extra” parts installed?

Completely different point. If you ordered your raptor with ABC, it arrives with ABC. You knew in advance about “package deals”. What Speed is doing is taking ABC order then adding DEF to your order, without consent.

Hey, at least you're finally getting your car! Congratulations!!! I wouldn't put too much into it. I am a firm believer that everything works out and things happen for reason. I'm sure that it will all work out great! Also, I don't believe that Robby or Todd are trying to do anything unethical. I would just chalk it up to them still working the bugs out of delivering cars, especially in a mass delivery.
