LS7, 4 wheel drive, on portals, 4" rear shocks, said he thinking of releasing somewhere around 250 limited edition, "MAD MAX" V8 Speed UTVsHope he
Yea I would agree, let’s focus on getting out the originally focused vehicle, QC and making these the best UTV on the market, everything else will come in time with that successThe reason I think this is Awesome, is because Speed is driving the the whole UTV market again!
Bottom line,... ultimately this will benefit all consumers of UTV's and the industry as a whole, regardless of what brand you purchase and drive.
Obviously, I would LUV one of these cars, but I am quite certain it will be way out of my reach....
However, I firmly believe that more competition in the UTV market place, is a positive thing!
It will only create more options, better quality and much safer vehicles, as well as increased performance.
Eventually the increased competition between manufactures, will undoubtably benefit all of us involved in the sport, in many ways.
I completely agree.Yea I would agree, let’s focus on getting out the originally focused vehicle, QC and making these the best UTV on the market, everything else will come in time with that success
You have to understand that Robby is a competitor first, a manufacturer second.I completely agree.![]()
BoatsAs much as we need a V8 SxS, I’m so sick of hearing about him bringing things to market. The Speed brand is getting diluted with all the other crap he wants to do right now (paddle board, 5th wheel, RC cars, SxS, V8 SxS, Motorcycle etc.),
What’s next a Hover board?!?!?!
I think the saying: An Amateur does it till he gets it right, a Professional does it till he can’t get it wrong fits perfectly for RG right now
I agree and you are correct it was said last summer v8 is gonna happen. I had a post on GD site when I was out at Coynes and Todd said they wanted to do it by koh.He had mentioned putting a V8 in one for last years or year before KoH in the weekly videos. Also remember seeing Robby comment on IG about working on something to compete with the fastest sand rails at the drags in glamis. I’d like to see the 1000cc cars out and about competing and winning before all that happens.
Now that’s what I’m thinking 2 1/2 L give or take four-cylinder with turbo that will get better mileage more power more torque and not have to turn at 9000 RPMs to do it.I’d like to have the big bore 1265cc kit already installed on mine. 300 Hp on 91 octane and more on E-85.. umm yes please!
Todd Romano also talked about a 2 liter 4 cylinder motor that they would have out this year that would make 550 ish hp. Not sure if that still in the works?
Nice they’re planning for the future but focus on the project at hand and QC and keep the rest hush hush till more cars get delivered.
I totally agree. I am a huge fan of Speed UTV and give Robby and Todd a tremendous amount of credit for what they have accomplished. At the same time, I wish we would have heard more last night about all the issues they had with the first fun cars and got a clear understanding of how those issues are being resolved and what the updated production schedule looks like. Instead we heard about how a $200K car is coming - he clearly is very competitive and, judging by the tone of his voice, this is very personal to him. In my opinion, there would be a much bigger market for a very reliable 400(ish) HP car with an upgrade path from the current version. I just really want a reliable El Jefe that has the bugs worked out and I would like it early this summer. #471Now that’s what I’m thinking 2 1/2 L give or take four-cylinder with turbo that will get better mileage more power more torque and not have to turn at 9000 RPMs to do it.
Now hopefully whatever it is will work with the existing transmission we already have which should be good for a little bit more power on a belt.
