Speed video

Hey nitwit, what you call body roll is actually called 'squat'
Your Polaris stays high and level until it flips.
The Speed squats down, lowers its roll center and don't flips.
Get a clue!
Note: Addressing the guy in the video.
That is one of the design aspects I like about the Speed cars.......the low roll center. The car hunkers down in a turn rather than pole vault up and flip the car. It makes for a safer car.

I was thinking the same thing. Weight transfer / squat helps you keep the car planted and get better traction if set up correctly.

If I'm being honest, I was in line for a turbo R this winter, but I held on for a while longer due to the stop sale on the RZRs. Once I saw the Speed design, I knew this was the car I would eventually want, but MSRP had already gone up to $50k for the new LE EL Jefe's without all the extras. I was willing to settle for the turbo R, knowing I'd have to upgrade it to get it to be somewhat safer. The 10" wider stance at full droop sold me. I went all in, knowing the ship date was nowhere in sight. I'm still happy with that decision today. The Speed car seems like it fixes most of the RZR's flaws. I feel much more comfortable with my kids in the Speed cage than in the RZR cage.

Good choice, Luxury! 👍 For me, safety is the #1 priority.

I think Robby and Daniel did a good job in their Episode 41 vid (below) of explaining rollover tendency, roll center, pole vaulting, and why the Speed car's geometry is safer than a radius rod design. The discussion starts at 28:15

I also wonder if he was referring to the body roll on asphalt. Robby stated that body roll is increased on asphalt due to the spooled rear diff. Since the inside tire spins at the same speed as the outside it jacks up the trailing arm.
I'll be honest. When I first saw it on asphalt with all that body roll I squirmed! But what robby stated explains it perfectly. In the dirt, I see very little roll. I'll bet if we took the can am, the popo, and the speed and put them in inexperienced driver hands and told them to push it hard, both the x3 and rzr would roll at a 10:1 ratio or more.

You should feel a lot safer look at this difference in a stock cage.

Looking at the Speed cage/chassis in post #7 and comparing that to the cages in posts #10 and #11, I know which cage/chassis I would rather be in if a crash occurs. The Speed cage/chassis has that "I was designed by an engineer" look. The other brands don't have that look in my opinion. Sure, the Speed cage/chassis weighs more, but for good reason. Robby and Daniel have always said that they designed the Speed cars with safety in mind. It sure looks that way when comparing the skeletons.

Wall thickness of the tubes also plays a role.

Like I’ve said I would love to see a drop test comparison with a Can-Am Pro R and speed with their suspension stiffness , maxed out and start dropping them higher and higher until they are not capable of being driven.

Kind of like this but I think they could go way higher.

The problem with these cages is they are all bolted together. If Robby is shipping them fully assembled, I think they should be welded. They are bolted because it’s easier to ship. More compact.

This. It's also going to be a problem if you try and race them. Tech inspection doesn't like stock bolted roll cages. Norra will probably be fine since Robby owns it but don't expect to get into the Baja 1000 or KOH without some modifications.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but RG has stated at nauseam that the cage couplers would need to be welded up for racing purposes.
And I believe it should read 'Co Owner'
And NORRA has had looser standards before RGs co ownership.
Just saying.

☝️ This is correct

My point is if it was one piece then you wouldn't need to weld all the cage couplers to be race legal. They made the cage like that so they could stack 6 cars in a shipping container. If they aren't going to be doing that any more and sending whole cars I would rather have a 1 piece cage. I was agreeing with the post above me that I would rather have it welded too.

They would still need to add and weld door crossbars to be race legal as well.
