SSSS 2023 Talk

A couple more things
- the front bumper is not centered on the factory holes it’s pushing on the body.
- the front lights are touching the graphics on some cars
- the cars with grey lower control arms and trailing arms are pitting and chipping, are these parts painted or powder coated? Side note the pitted areas are orange under the grey is that a primer or were they originally orange and recoated.
- And the forum is correct the CV’s need to be addressed.
- Speed’s fit and finish is much better than the competition.

and finally has anyone else with other cars noticed all of the sharp edges while cleaning their car? My Rzr nearly bled me to death the Can am was better but after a good detailing I would have 4-5 cuts on my hands. The Speed appears to have addressed this …. But only a good detailing will tell.
Looks like they made a crap load of orange powder coated suspension and then went over them with grey. I noticed the chipping of the grey with orange underneath on Chupacabra's car.

Yep 22 plus hour drive for me for a speed key? I had to take more than one deep breath last night after reading that response. I'm not going to get overly worked up this week about the Speed key but if that situation holds true then I'm gonna get loud. I was also excited to go pick the car up in Havasu but not anymore. Diesel is around 6 bucks a gallon in Washington and typically doesn't get better driving that direction. Ironically my truck pulling my trailer gets 6 to 9 mpg so the math doesn't add up for a toy. Sorry for rambling on as I know that's probably not most people's problem but definitely is for a few.

It's also my problem. 🙋🏼‍♂️😕

Did anyone find out the CV DIA yet?
I’m sure there is booth at the show to source replacement boots. You will also need the stock boot length to find something longer.

That was the best I could do with a tape measure. I’m sure these guys are now taking their car homes to get out some calipers and help us out.

I’ve only seen that in the first batch of 12 which six were RG and six were LE.
I noticed it on everyone that was there in Lake Havasu on Presidents’ Day weekend. You could tell they had been jacked up for jacks stands to put underneath and small chips showing the orange on the 6LE cars.

So I got good and bad news, today I was able to stop RG for about 3 minutes and he showed me the rendering of the 4 seat enclosed cab that I have on order and it looks amazing, but he also told me it’s going to be a while, I asked him if it would be 2 more years he wouldn’t say, so I’m guessing more than 2 years because again he told me I’d be better off getting the regular 4 seater this year and then ordering another one when the enclosed cab is done.
Oh and here’s my buy of the day, picked up 12 Pro Armor 5 points FBED1C32-3768-4AAB-9F0D-D637D36C6B4F.jpeg

If I may, your fire extinguisher, cut off or tape down the ends of the hose clamps and turn it sideways; it could take out someone's eye...
jmpo that you are free to ignore.

Do I dare ask why you bought 12 set of belts?

Oh I’m sure some who picked up cars can confirm. But the two buyers I spoke to said they were not required to pay for their cars 30 days in advanced. Sounds like Speed has decided to not require that, which is a smart move.

WTH is you daily driver? Looks badass.

So I went again today and decided to do some eaves dropping on RG talking to a group of guys. This is what I came away with. Maybe some of the guys that picked up cars today can explain more. It was difficult to hear him so take it for what it’s worth.

Diaphragms drying out. Need ~ 55-65 psi fuel pressure. If not check diaphragm located between the two back seat. Easy to change out. All cars are being sent out with extra NEWER replacement one. 2024 cars will have it already installed. Those will have the newer material diaphragms once EPA is completed. Something about he can’t add it now to existing cars due to EPA.

Transmission if it doesn’t want to shift then let rpm’s settle down to 1450 rpm then shift. Cold weather takes a little longer. At higher rpms the gears are wanting to engage which makes it hard to shift.

VP TOP LUBE to keep hoses from drying out when on e 85

Process of designing a type of parking brake that hydraulically locks all 4 brakes.

Inner cover hole of the cvt gets capped off for better cvt cooling.
Said a better design would be to introduce air from the middle of the cover. I’m Not sure if that is in the works.

3 or 4 tip spark plug for 91 octane and no tip spark plugs for e 85. Do these Need to be swapped out depending on fuel?

Awesome info.

The truck was thrown back together the last few days for the show, so I didn’t really have time for any details to be worked out. But good looking out
