Almost exact same break location. Wow. They went from tin foil chassis to tin foil a arms
It does when you realize the Rotax engineers are in a different department than the chassis/suspension engineers.Doesn’t make sense how they can build a great motor and not follow up with the chassis and other parts.
Yeah I can see that happening too. You would think they would have learned from the x3.It does when you realize the Rotax engineers are in a different department than the chassis/suspension engineers.
I believe you are correct. But I thought that part is supposed to bend not break so that you could limp it back to camp.I am wondering if this is a fusable link to save the mounting points on the chassis. If you hit a boulder or tree at high speed with the front wheel something is going to break. On our speed's our a-arms are so beefy I wonder if the tabs on the front bulk head will break before the arms do. I rather replace a broken a-arm than a front diff bulkhead. We haven't seen anyone crash bad enough to break something, we don't know the weak link in speed yet. Everything is so beefy on the speed I don't see an obvious weak point.
Agree. Most utv companies' priority is profit margin. One other possible reason to go with thin walled components could be to keep weight down to increase acceleration rate. But I'll happily take the extra pounds of the Speed car if it means more safety for me and my family. I couldn't care less how my car compares to someone else's car in terms of acceleration rate. But that's just me. Others may have differing priorities.I wondering if this is intensional:
1) To keep cost down
2) To help keep after market companies in business.

That was a pretty good and honest video.FYI, here's a live stream from RG at today's SSSS showing details of the new Can-Am Maverick R chassis/cage. My thoughts? Noooo thank you. IMO, the Speed chassis/cage is so much safer....by a longshot.
I hope they are talking shit about the Can Am lower A arms breaking. I checked it out and everything is tinfoil thin . I'm on board with whomever it was that suggested to take a SXS from each manufacturer and roll it down a hill/mountain to show which has the superior cage, chassis and overall structural strength. I know which one I'd put money on to win.Someone posted that none of their friends know that they ordered a Speed car, and every year at this time I get no less than 50 people texting/DM’ing me about when am I getting my car and WAFJ this car is. With that being said, do you guys think someone who has a new Can Am is also getting ungodly amounts of people talking shit![]()

That was actually an excellent "touche" (tooshay) by Robby in response to a comment by a hater a couple of years ago when Robby was doing one of his weekly live updates and the shocks were missing from the El Jefe chassis (the car was propped up by other means for the purposes of the video). The hater wrote in the vid's comments section "I guess those must be Speed's new bluetooth shocks." A high five to Robby for his poetic justice comment today. Well played.Bluetooth roll bar, lol!
That’s right I forgot about that. I'm guessing we will never see Cleatus drive a Stadium Super Truck again.FYI, here's a live stream from RG at today's SSSS showing details of the new Can-Am Maverick R chassis/cage. My thoughts? Noooo thank you. IMO, the Speed chassis/cage is so much safer....by a longshot.
