I am more curious of the reviews on the cars when they have at least a few hundred miles on them. I think that would give us a more credible baseline to judge the dependability and performance of these cars. I think a few days in Glamis would be the ultimate benchmark. Night rides or early morning rides probably only way that will happen this time of year. Who’s gonna go out there and take one for the team? The Honeymoon period reviews are great feel good stories but not realistic. We already know these cars are good on paper and look great in person. The several hundred mile reviews should be coming soon. What I am concerned with, is the new buyers will be reluctant to tell us everything as they are probably in need of some warranty service. Nobody wants Robby mad at them. This is the joys of dealing with a small mom and pop operation as opposed to Can Am and Polaris dealers. It’s is in everyone’s best interest to get the dealer network up and running as soon as possible. Still looking forward to my car but actually happy I’m not in first few hundred.
Dunes are deceptive in that people think it’s only HP, to ride at a decent pace you need that suspension to not get beat up. Glamis eats up suspension and frames. Whoops, g-outs, chatter bumps, witches eyes galore. Not everyone cares about Glamis. I’m more concerned with a mix of desert and forest roads. Bombing around in the sand is really only a test on the drivetrain. I didn’t buy this for the HP I got it for the suspension
That is exactly the reason to dune it.Not everyone cares about Glamis. I’m more concerned with a mix of desert and forest roads. Bombing around in the sand is really only a test on the drivetrain. I didn’t buy this for the HP I got it for the suspension
What better place to test the turbos and the cooling system, but not to mention it is where the car can use 100% of its horsepower and 100% of its suspension. This type of riding would also be great for testing CVs under load. Not to mention there are a lot of areas to jump in the dunes. The dunes would give the car a complete workout.Dunes are deceptive in that people think it’s only HP, to ride at a decent pace you need that suspension to not get beat up. I agree with duners reviews but too hot for G right now. There is 1 guy so far running at Idaho dunes with paddles which is a good test. But he has not posted much unfortunately.I am more curious of the reviews on the cars when they have at least a few hundred miles on them. Yep, there’s Vent Racing on IG with the red white and blue car on paddles who was going to do a review and Idrvmike on IG who was also going to do a heads up comparison between his Speed car and the Polaris turbo R if I remember the model right? Anyways, looking forward to that review!!I agree with duners reviews but too hot for G right now. There is 1 guy so far running at Idaho dunes with paddles which is a good test. This is about a week old and was reported to have been a loose oil line on the turbo,Wonder what this guy's review is gonna be? I know it's Mr boardmanville posting it, but it doesn't look good
If there’s a will there’s a way. I guess I look at things differentlyI agree with duners reviews but too hot for G right now. There is 1 guy so far running at Idaho dunes with paddles which is a good test. But he has not posted much unfortunately.
As a long time Glamis and desert rider and driver, I’ll have to state that a car that’s perfect for the dunes, is not a car that’s perfect for the desert, forest trails, mudders, etc. What better place to test the turbos and the cooling system, but not to mention it is where the car can use 100% of its horsepower and 100% of its suspension. Additionally…
It would confirm whether the car has serious belts issues or not. The sooner all this get out on the table, the sooner the fixes begin. Whether it be by Speed or by the aftermarket
Lots of steering wheel feedback.
Nice little video from Tubaart films
